Amish Baked Oatmeal
Made this recipe today that I found on beingfrugal.net. It was really delicious- Bea and Luke both loved it, and it was quick and easy (well, I still only got halfway through before becoming too exhausted to finish- but that's just me these days- Luke helped). I think this will be a great one to have on hand with four kids. For now, I'll probably throw the leftovers on top of some yogurt- yums!!

Dallas Aquarium Today...
probably our last family outing as a threesome..Luke wheeled me around in a wheelchair. Bea had a blast, and is taking a marathon 3 hour nap.
I've been surfing the internet, reading triplet blogs. This can be a good and bad thing. Lots of scary stories, lots of success stories. One lesson I've learned so far is that these babies NEED to stay in here as long as possible!! I am doing quite well physically compared to some of the stories I've read. The longer they stay in my belly, the better off they'll be- so that's my prayer, despite how miserable I'm feeling.

Happy Anniversary/Carrying 3 babies to me!!
30 week belly
Okay, almost 30 weeks - a few days away from it.
Blood pressure's been creeping up a bit- I had another stint at Labor and Delivery for a few hours the other day- everything checked out okay, though. Doctor said it could change in 24 hours, so they're really keeping a closer eye on me.
Now I really am on modified bed rest (but I can still do some things), and the doc said she's giving me TWO TO THREE WEEKS - YIKES!! Trying to think of all the things I need to do before they get here.

No news (is good news)
Haven't been very post-ey lately because nothing is going on, except me getting bored to death, going to appointments, and dealing with babysitter issues.
I'm mostly in bed, although not on doctor's orders. I can get around, but it's exhausting. Having a conversation is exhausting, so if you've called me and I haven't called you back, that's probably why. So, I've watched 3 seasons of "Weeds" in a week, actually did 5 pages of my Hawaii scrapbook (the trip we took A YEAR ago), and am in the middle of reading about 4 books at once- none of which are exciting me. ARGH. It's frustrating..
Bea's not in school this week, so she has a sitter every morning, who just told me that her old job offered her a raise to come back- waaah! That sucks, but we really don't need someone until August now anyway, since Bea starts school again next week and it goes until the end of July.
I know I'm doing the most important job- incubating. And I should be cherishing this time because it will be total chaos when the kids come, and I'm trying to cherish- I swear!

Babies are fine!
Just got back from the Perinatologist and he said all is well. Babies weigh:
Baby A: 2 lbs 10 oz
Baby B: 2 lbs 1 oz
Baby C: 2 lbs 6 oz
Not a bad discrepancy at all. And he did blood flows on all 3 and said they look good! So, whew!

Our house is SOLD!
We'll miss you, house! We put alot of love into you- our first home, the site of many kickin' parties, and the only home Bea has known (the other day she asked when we were going home and my heart just about broke.)
But, in the famous words of Pee Wee Herman: "that ol' highway's a callin' - gotta move on". So, enjoy our house, new homeowners, and make lots of happy memories there- we sure did!
oh and p.s. We officially close next week.

27 week growth scan
Well, it looks like Baby B is measuring at 25 weeks and almost a pound less than what he should be, so my OB wants me to go to the Perinatologist next week for a more thorough scan. She said if she were really worried I'd be in the hospital immediately. She just wants to keep an eye on it. Of course we're worried, though, but at least they will be more closely monitored from now on and if anything is of concern, into the hospital I go!
I'll post an update about it next week after the appointment. Ugh- I have to wait a whole week!
Keep us in your thoughts and prayers....
UPDATE: It's called Intrauterine Growth Restriction and it's actually pretty common in multiples. Doesn't really make me feel any better.

We have a big girl
Bea is pretty much fully potty-trained. I don't know how it happened, I just know it did. I'd been telling Luke that she'll do it when she's ready, and basically she has. We started having her wear big girl undies a couple months ago, and taking her about every hour and half, and just in the past week she has all of the sudden been telling us when she has to go and yesterday even starting going by herself! Of course we were a little freaked out the first time we heard the toilet flush and we didn't know what was going on- but she's pretty proud of herself. They always say three is the magic number for this, and it was for us, so- hooray!
Now we're just hoping she doesn't regress when the babies come....

WAAAAH!!!
Well, despite all my praying/finger crossing/hoping, I did NOT pass my first glucose test. But I was SO close (which I've heard only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades). Anyway, now I have to go for the 3 hour test- yuck. This involves fasting for 10 hours prior and throughout the test - luckily it's scheduled for 8:30 am. Then, they draw my blood once an hour. Blah.
I'm taking a book, a portable DVD player, thank you notes to be written, and a pillow. Hopefully this will stave off the boredom I'm anticipating sitting in a lab waiting room.
