24 week Belly

Well, I got tired of trying to get the timing right for someone to take my photo, so I did it myself. Please, you don't have to mention how incredibly HOT I look, especially in these pink shorts. I just can't believe I'm not too embarrassed to put this on the internet.

Bea's "school" photo

taken at her Mother's Day Out. Yes, relatives, you will be getting one in the mail, as soon as I get my act together...

24 Week Update

I'll try to get a new belly pic up soon. I've been suffering from the most fun allergies, but the doc today loaded me up on some safe drugs to take, so hopefully I'll be better soon.

Well, the babies are measuring at 23-24 weeks, which is perfect! No one is significantly smaller than another. They are 1 lb 5 oz, 1 lb 3 oz, and 1 lb 2 oz. So we've got over 3 total pounds of baby goin' on! I've gained 42 pounds (yikes!), so I'm close to my 50 pound goal, which is good because I'm getting to where I just don't want to eat that much- it's uncomfortable.

We went to Big Spring this weekend, toured neighborhoods, looked at houses, I met lots of people- so we're getting ready for that! We even found a house we really liked, and it's nice and big.

That's all the update I have for now!

Yay!

Daddy is here!! I don't know when he's going to have to start working again, but for now we have him here in Denton, and we are excited!

I'm good, growing out of maternity clothes every week. I have low iron so have to start taking supplements, but if that's the least of my worries, then we're doing great. I actually got to get out of the house today and go to Wal-Mart (ooooh), and yes, had to ride in one of those carts. But hey, I don't think I could've done it otherwise so I'm glad they have those. I do feel pretty silly, though..

Well, just wanted to do a little update- things are coming together, little by little..

In the back of the pickup..

Now we're getting to be a country girl.

Well, things are getting better! Luke will be here at the end of the week, and we found the best babysitter for the summer- so my prayers have been answered on that one. Hopefully the pity parties will go away for a little bit (but who knows what the hormones will decide?)

Attack of the Hormones

Jeez NOW they're hitting me- I've been bawling for the past two days, and I have to admit, not even over anything logical. Okay, well, over things that before would've sort of upset me, not sent me into a convulsive fit. Oh, the joy of pregnancy times three. Oh yeah, and missing your husband terribly doesn't exactly help. But he'll be here this weekend! yay!

I'm having a lot of pity parties these days, and I don't think anyone wants to be invited...

Fishin' with Uncle Scott

They had fun- got a few nibbles.
Good ole Uncle Scott- he got a taste of what married with children life is like, staying here this weekend. Woke him up by telling him that Bunny had run off so first thing he went to look for her. Then we drove around looking for her, to no avail. Then I broke a plate and he had to clean it up- I'm pretty useless these days.

Oh, and Bunny did get returned- THREE hours later!! Some kind neighbors called me and brought her back. She said her kids were disappointed that she got found- they really fell in love with her. Well, now that she's back, she's going to be living in the pen outside- contained. I love her, really, I just don't have the energy to run after her...she's just a dog now. :(

Giant pillow

Yes, this is what it takes to keep me comfortable at night these days. Oh yeah, and it's perfect for Bea to play in:

Haircut!!

Since the girl refuses to wear a ponytail, or even to let me brush it:Very stylish...

21 weeks

No news is good news, right? Everything still looks great- and I'm doing fine, considering I'm carrying 3 babies.

We are adjusting to life in a new town- sometimes I get down that I can't do everything that I want to with Bea- can't take her to the park, even the library is getting difficult. We're working on getting a sitter for her so she'll have someone active to play with. Who knew finding a sitter was such an ordeal?? And she has a few kid friends, but nothing so far like the connections I had in Austin. But, whaddya gonna do? As my mother-in-law said, there's only one way out of this, and it ain't easy. So I wait and rest.

Daddy's last day at work is next Friday, so he's not visiting this weekend. :( But he's getting things wrapped up in Austin. Hopefully we'll get an offer on our house soon! I know we've had some strong interest, so that's positive.

And oh yeah, Bea has a staph infection - yikes! She's on 2 antibiotics, and we are keeping an eye on her, but she's her same old happy self, so I'm not too worried...

and that's it for now!
