So we told Bea about the babies. If you ask her about them, you'll get a speech similar to this: "Mommies have babies, daddies don't have babies. And mommy's belly is going to get bigger and bigger and then the babies will come out, just like with me!" And she understands that when I eat, I'm feeding the babies.She gets that much, but some of it is elusive to her (she is only 2 1/2), like when she told Aunt Michelle that she (Aunt Michelle) had a baby in her belly, I had to explain that only mommy does. She also frequently wants to see the babies RIGHT NOW. I, however, prefer to keep 'em in as long as possible. They're quiet in there. :)
